A description of the Boroughs database, which consists of five linked tables containing the data for the 29 counties for which information on settlements of borough status are supplied: names, places, statistics, and the miscellaneous information for which the data on boroughs is noted; a full text of the entries is included except in the case of Yorkshire (omitted for copyright reasons). The database is new to this edition.
